Located in and operated out of the USA Corporate Headquarters in Newton, NC this position will be responsible for managing all activities of the Life Science Division, including maximizing sales opportunities and building and maintaining relationships with customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includethe following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required bymanagement.
Manages both an internal and external sales force, dedicated to selling Sarstedt products to Life Science customers.
Coordinates, plans, directs, and manages all aspects of customer accounts, including the development of business plans, price proposals, and analysis of individual customer sales.
Directs sales initiatives in order to facilitate sales growth in assigned territories.
Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
Attends national and regional trade shows.
Responsible for achieving sales performance goals and the overall Company's sales goals as determined by management.
Ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction by building and maintaining professional relationships.
Manages the Life Science Division of Sarstedt, Inc, including up to seven Product Support Specialists and three Key Account Managers.
Carries out manager responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree in a Life Science or Health Science field from a four-year college or university; and three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical or research sales is required. Previous experience in a medical or research setting is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a local and remote sales force.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales reports, graphs, and data.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint.
